I had a 92% written Exam score, disapproved on Ground knowledge portion - When we initially met the first time, Harry returned me to my CFI because the description on some flight training logs didn't have specific regs mentioned. When we finally met the 2nd time to start the Ground portion, I found the questions misleading and incomplete (I scored 92% on the written exam), I had to figure out what the question itself was on quite a few occasions. For example: he pointed at a random Echo airspace on the map and asked "Can you fly here at 4,000ft on VFR?" I responded with I don't see why not. He responded that it's wrong "It needs to be 4,500 or 3,500" - I knew about the 500ft addition when flying VFR but he didn't specify I'm flying Easterly or Westerly, I could be doing maneuvers at 4,000 on VFR or descending, the question is incomplete, there were multiple incomplete questions. Electronic Navlogs from Foreflight are a big no-no, he wants paper and pencil. Next question after my Navlog argument he disapproved me. My 1st failure, very unpleasant experience overall. I'm not retaking it with him, going with another DPE for Commercial.
