Mr. Garrick is a great DPE. He is in the airlines and has only been a DPE on the side for about a year now, but by no means does that mean he doesn't know what he's doing. He likes to keep you at ease so that you can perform at your best. His oral is very broad and fast as long as you know the answer to what he asks. If you don’t get a question right he may dig in a little bit deeper into an area and make sure that you know that area more thoroughly. He wants you to pass but you need to prove to him that you are ready to be a responsible pilot. He has a lot of practical and real world scenarios, that all may not have checklists but if you use common sense you can reason through it. Use your resources responsibly and think of a practical answer, just like how you would fix the problem if you where are real pilot by your self.

Glen Garrick is a very experienced, knowledgeable and professional DPE. He is personable and allows for a more relaxed oral and check ride. I had a great experience with both checks and felt at ease during the oral and flight. I would highly recommend him!
